The Maogani Guitar Quartet created a new musical concept concerning interpretation and arranging, with an unexplored and somehow peculiar instrumental ensemble for popular groups. Their repertoire is based on Brazilian popular music and its various styles and rhythms: from traditional to modern choro, from samba to bossa nova, from waltz to baião, through composers such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Edu Lobo, Hermeto Paschoal, Pixinguinha, Baden Powell, Ernesto Nazareth, Garoto, Chico Buarque, João Donato, Guinga and many others.
